‘Cause people seem to only post the 20-something Audrey Hepburn.
Audrey Hepburn was the granddaughter of a baron, the daughter of a nazi sympathizer, spent her teens doing ballet to secretly raise money for the dutch resistance against the nazis, and spent her post-film career as a goodwill ambassador of UNICEF, winning the presidential medal of freedom for her efforts.
…and history remembers her as pretty.
AND HISTORY REMEMBERS HER AS PRETTY
this is the first time I have ever seen a picture of her older than 20 and I think that’s scary
I thought I’d share some Doctor Who inspired artwork that literally took me ages. But I also wanna share a back-story…
Okay, so sometimes life gets a little too much to bear and we need to employ a little escapism from time to time. This escapism could be reading a book, watching a TV show or film, or listening to music.
Well, when I was at school, I was hurting, and so I found myself constantly escaping to other worlds, because I was so unhappy with things. One minute I’d be in a flying car with Harry and Ron, the next I’d be walking through a wardrobe with Lucy. Like with music- I’d be happy listening to Little Mix or Disney soundtracks (it is my life, after all!).
But then came Doctor Who. As a kid, I wasn’t really interested. But then I gave it a chance in my mid-teens, and something clicked. I fell in love. At that time, David Tennant was the Doctor, and I actually learnt so many lessons from Ten. It helped me grow as a person, and find out who I really was, and be proud of it.
I’m sure I’m not the only one who feels this way. But, there you go. :)
(oh, and ‘I’ll make you believe again’ is a reference to ‘Make You Believe’ by Little Mix.)
